KUALA LUMPUR: Following seemingly devastating revelations in Sarawak Report’s expose yesterday, sacked UMNO Batu Kawan Division Vice-Chairman and vocal 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) critic Khairuddin Abu Hassan lodged a police report at the Dang Wangi police station this afternoon.
He called on the police to investigate Prime Minister Najib Razak in his capacity as the Chairman of the Board of Advisors of 1MDB, Chairman of its Board of Directors Lodin Wok Kamaruddin, and President/CEO Arul Kanda Kandasamy.
In his report he drew attention to Najib’s written statement to Parliament on March 11 to the effect that funds of US$1.103 billion were being kept at a bank in Singapore.

He called upon the police to investigate whether that statement was false in the light of Sarawak Report’s allegations.
His report also asked the police to investigate allegations in the Sarawak Report that 1MDB had distributed false documents which he claimed had “overstated Brazen Sky’s cash position.”
